Now that the weather is getting colder, you likely are finding that your summer clothes are not getting much use anymore. A popular thing to do for many people when this happens is to organize your closet to have your winter clothes front and center. Making sure that your winter clothing can be easily accessed can save you a lot of time in the morning. Use these tips to organize your closet for the colder months.

HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR CLOSET FOR WINTER
Get your winter clothes out of storage – If you have winter clothes that are currently in storage, now is a great time to get them out so you can use them. Hopefully, you have them all stored away in boxes that you can easily get to. This will allow you to transfer them to your closet in very little time.
Store your summer clothes – If you are able to, it is a good idea to free up some of your closet space for your winter clothes by putting some of your summer clothes away. You may want to put these in boxes in a storage unit or simply place them in boxes in the back of your closet.
Get rid of items you don’t wear anymore – Now is a great time to purge your closet. If you have items that you have not worn in a while, getting rid of them will provide you with extra space.
Opt to fold some of your sweaters – If you have an area in your closet where you can place some folded sweaters, you can actually get a lot more out of the space as a result. Consider folding some of your sweaters to save some of your hanger space for other clothes.
Whether you have a big closet or a smaller closet, you want to be able to use the space for the clothes that you will be using during the appropriate season, which is what these tips allow you to do.
