This restaurant may be simple in terms of decor, but the food and the drinks certainly aren’t. This neighborhood favorite gets much of its charm from its loyal fan base and awesome bartenders, so give it a shot if you’re looking to skip the drive.

If you want to get your day started off right in LA, for this celebration the restaurant’s doors open at 11 a.m. and don’t close until 1 a.m. the next day. While you’ll need a reservation if you go before 5 p.m., feel free to stop on by anytime after that. The party will feature drink specials and a DJ, but you’ll likely have the most fun if you spend time with another special guest: the balloon artist.
