2018 is here! Now is a great time to redecorate your apartment for an all-new style and a fun new look. These tips will help you spruce up your living space with some of the latest home decor trends.
DECORATE WITH CIRCULAR PATTERNS
Circular patterns are the big thing in 2018. There are lots of ways and places that you can incorporate circular patterns into your home’s decor. Polka-dotted pillows, curtains, rugs and other home accessories are easy to buy and they give your home a fun, lively quality that you’ll love. If you’re looking for a look that’s more daring and exotic, round furniture can raise eyebrows. Round coffee tables, round ottomans and round sofas make decorating the home fun and exciting.
CONTRASTING COLOR PALETTES
Contrasting color palettes are an exciting way to bring drama back to your living space. Light colors can be contrasted against dark colors, or colors found opposite of one another on the color wheel can also be used. When you’re thinking about which contrasting colors can be used in your home space, look at the color palettes already found around your home.
If your apartment is already decorated in dark gray-blues, for example, try adding shades of light cream and soft beige. Purchase pillows, lamps and other accessories in a contrasting color to make your apartment striking and beautiful.
ELEMENTS OF NATURE
Stone and wood are among the most popular decorating and home building materials on the market. There are many ways that you can incorporate more elements of nature into your home. Look for art, centerpieces and furniture that incorporate elements of nature into their design.
WARM COLORS
Cool neutrals have been all the rage for a long time, but now warm colors are starting to find their way into homes. Reds, oranges and yellows make fabulous colors for chairs, pillows and artwork. Best of all, warm colors stand out nicely against the neutral colors that were so popular just a few years ago, so you can keep your old neutral-colored decor and simply add new colors.
